Tag Line Contest - We have a winner!

That's right, the judging has ended, and it's time to announce the winner! Remember, we asked you to send us your idea for a video game based around the tag line, "once it began, only the few could stop it," and based on what all of you sent in, here was our favorite:

Black Daylight
by Stephen M.

"It is the year 2090. There is no law, no uphold over civilization of the planet. Things have changed but not for the better of mankind. It all started with mankind’s first encounter with an alien life-form. All seemed well – we invited them into our planet, into our homes and into our lives. Then they withdrew all they needed – our blood, our DNA, our resources and life as we knew it changed. The very things we had made hospitable on our home were now primary targets in the next world war. Once it began, only the few could stop it. The few survivors escaped to Earths safest haven – the beacon light. Now, they face a giant battle to retake their planet from the hands of the Betrean…"

Congratulations Stephen! We will be contacting you about sending you your prize soon.

Tag Line Contest

Here’s the deal. You’re a developer for a video game. You have been given a “tag line” for the game and you have to come up with the rest of the game. The game is to be no higher than “T” Rated, which means:

T — Teen: Contains content that is considered suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.

Here’s what’s required:
  • Title
  • No more than 3 story characters
  • Tell us which video game systems this would be for
  • No more than a page and ½ or 1000 words (whichever is shorter) of a description of how the video game works (e.g. genre, plot line, idea behind the game, what players can expect, etc.)
  • No adult content. Remember this is rated no higher than T for Teen. If you want, you can make it rated “EC” for Early Childhood, but I don’t recommend it.
  • One entry per person

Here’s how we’re going to rate:

We want creativity. Don’t just send us a sequel for an already existent video game. The game must follow all of our requirements. Finally, all submissions must be sent to gamertimeradio@gmail.com no later than midnight EST on September 20th, 2007. Winners will be chosen October 1st, 2007 and will be notified by e-mail. The more entrants we get, the better the prize, so tell your friends. Remember to not surpass 1000 words.

The tag line:
"Once it began, only the few could stop it."
